Working with older Pacific Northwest Homes

One of the keys to working with Oregon's older homes is having experience and knowledgeable support from our architects and sub contractors.  We have organized a group of subcontractors that are used to working along side of us when remodeling older homes so the challenges we encounter can be handled with ease.

Some of these challenges are updating the efficiency, flow and overall finishes of the house and yet keeping in step with the original architecture and the time period the house was built.  The Pacific Northwest offers some of the best suppliers and building materials around so obtaining such things as hardware, moldings and hardwoods, which keep the integrity of an older home, is a simplified process.  Another challenge we often encounter during the remodeling process of older homes is not what is original to a house, but what has been added to the house over decades through past projects.  When an older house has been manipulated through many years of projects with changing building codes and homeowner designs it tends to create many unknowns.  With the team we have in place, we have always been able to overcome and work through the challenges that sometime come with older home remodels and give our homeowners what they want.
